HE’S the most foul-mouthed man on telly, but Gordon Ramsay will have to tone it down for his next venture – becoming a teacher.
I can reveal the celebrity chef is close to opening up a cookery school, which could make him Britain’s scariest educator.
The Gordon Ramsay Academy is due to launch in Woking, Surrey, at the start of 2021, after years of secret planning.
A source said: “Gordon is super-excited about the new academy. Giving space and opportunity to the next generation of British chefs is something he is passionate about.
“He can’t wait to hopefully see those same chefs in his own restaurants in the future.
“It will be an industry-leading facility, to give people of all ages and cooking abilities the chance to have relaxed and fun cookery classes. It will also support people looking to get into the hospitality industry, by giving them somewhere to hone their skills.
“Students will also get work experience in Gordon’s portfolio of restaurants and there will be a guaranteed job at the end of it. It’s a really great idea.”
F-Word host Gordon quietly trademarked the name Gordon Ramsay Academy last year for the school — and is already thinking of expanding. The trademark also covers online cookery courses and a logo for linen, clothing, pots and pans.
The school had been due to open this year but it is believed to have been pushed back due to the lockdown, which caused progress to grind to a halt.
Work on the academy is now well under way again, with Gordon heavily involved.
He will not be skimping when it comes to the education of the young chefs.
The Sun revealed last week that his restaurant group made an £11.9million profit last year — with Gordon pumping £7.4million of his own money into the business, which is a “director’s loan, owing from the company”.
Despite his new project, the chef has previously said his own decision to attend catering college was “an accident, a complete accident”.
He’ll be hoping to find plenty more people keen to have the same accident.
Lucy bye to bump
I’ll admit to having the odd Hobnob for breakfast, but unlike Lucy Mecklenburgh, I don’t have the excuse of having just given birth.
The Towie star told fans she wasn’t sticking to a “perfect, healthy, balanced diet” – but she’s still shed an incredible 4st in six months after having son Roman with her fiancé, Corrie’s Ryan Thomas.
Offering support to other new mums, she wrote on Instagram: “Sorry to tell u but there’s no magic pill, no fad diet and no quick fix.
“Don’t put any pressure on yourself!! Six months in, I’m still not sticking to regular exercise and eating a perfect healthy balanced diet, but so what!”
Can't get you out of our charts
Kylie Minogue’s smash hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head turned 19 last week but the pop princess is looking as spritely as ever.
The tune was turned down by S Club 7 and Sophie Ellis-Bextor before Kylie put her spin on it and launched it to the top of the charts for four weeks.
Almost two decades later, Kylie is proving she’s still got what it takes with her recent single Say Something, for which she has just released a new remix.
It’s the first track from her 15th studio album, Disco, due out on November 6, which she was promoting by posing for this stunning photo.
The record follows her 2018 album Golden, which saw her return to No1 for the first time in eight years.
From what I’ve heard so far, these new tunes will get her to the top once again.
Check out Vogue
Vogue Williams made the most of the heatwave yesterday when she headed out in this eye-catching pink dress.
The presenter was photographed as she left Global Studios in central London after hosting her Heart FM radio show.
Her revealing outfits are clearly working wonders, as she had a healthy tan while out and about.
Vogue recently welcomed her second child, Gigi, with husband Spencer Matthews.
She’s certainly a yummy mummy now.
Pixie Geldof fell over in front of the Queen at Princess Eugenie’s 2018 wedding.
Speaking about the monarch, Pixie recalled: “She’s full LOL. She was being funny. And also I fell over at one point – I stacked it.”
Sam Smith’s album got delayed once lockdown started but the star is keeping a steady stream of music coming so fans stay happy.
I hear the Stay With Me singer will return with a new single called Diamonds this Friday.
Idris backing Wes
Love Island star Wes Nelson’s music career has the backing of Idris Elba and other big names.
Wes will release his debut single See Nobody this Friday and recorded a video of himself playing the dance track to actor Idris, boxer Anthony Joshua and footballers Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish among others.
I have to admit, I was sceptical about how talented he’d be as a musician but the track sounds huge.
Wes, who was on Love Island in 2018, said: “I’ve done a lot in 22 years, but music is the only thing that’s really resonated – this is the one thing I really want to do.
“This is not a passion project or a whim or gimmick. I’m in this for the long haul.”
He signed a deal with major label Universal Records last month so I’m expecting big things.
Foxes has called for Lewis Capaldi to work with her – saying her records are just as miserable as his.
In an exclusive chat, she said: “I actually feel like he’d sing songs I write really well. He’s got some great lungs.”
Foxes, real name Louisa Rose Allen, has just returned with new track Friends In The Corner – and she says she no longer feels the pressure to match the success of her 2013 hit tune Clarity with Zedd.
She explained: “I think I needed to take the pressure off and start enjoying it again instead of worrying so much about being in the charts. Coming back I feel a lot more comfortable.”
She has written hit tunes for Rihanna and J-L but Sia isn’t much of a fan of some of the tracks she’s penned.
The Aussie singer-songwriter said: “I know some of the songs I write are s**t.”
Jason Derulo has never had more fun than during lockdown.
He said: “I’m afraid to say how much I’ve been enjoying it. It’s been hard for lots of people. But I haven’t been home since I was a kid.”
US rapper 24K-Goldn’s Mood is taking on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion in the race for No1 this week.
It is now just 700 sales behind their explicit tune Wap.
US actor Chris Evans is mortified after sharing a post which showed the gallery of photos on his phone – including one of a man’s private parts.
The image was swiftly deleted.
