Great British Breakfast will be GB News’ morning show, offering viewers an alternative from BBC Breakfast and Good Morning Britain. It is just one show in a long line-up from the upcoming news broadcaster led by Andrew Neil, but which stars will be presenting the show?

Which GB News stars will host Great British Breakfast?

GB News recently made a series of announcements, unveiling many of the shows and presenters for the upcoming British news network.

The former BBC veteran, Andrew Neil will be leading the evening primetime news and interviews programme.

Other shows will include Dewbs & Co, presented by Michelle Dewsberry, Tonight Live with Dan Wootton and Alastair Stewart & Friends.

The other main show in the line-up is The Great British Breakfast, which boasts the largest line-up of presenters.

Nana Akua

Nana Akua will be one of the main hosts of the morning show, she will also be getting her own show with the broadcaster titled Tonight Live with Nana Akua.

She is a former BBC journalist and has featured as a panellist on Good Morning Britain and the Jeremy Vine Show.

Kirsty Gallacher

Kirsty Gallacher will be leaving Sky News to join the Great British Breakfast, previously presenting Sky Sports and Sky Sports News.

She has over 20 years of experience in the business and will likely be overseeing the sports content of the programme.

Inaya Folarin Iman

As a freelance journalist, Inaya Folarin Iman has been involved in a number of different projects promoting freedom of speech.

She founded Free Speech Champions and Equiano Project which focuses on race, politics, and culture.

Darren McCaffrey

Darren McCaffrey is leaving Euronews to join the new GB News network and co-present Great British Breakfast.

The former political editor previously spent more than 10 years at Sky News and said of the GB News announcement: “Journalism is at its best when it reflects the widest range of views rather than just the loudest ones.”

Another Euronews veteran, Rosie Wright will also be joining the Great British Breakfast team.

She was the breakfast anchor for Euronews, hosting Good Morning Europe for more than two years before joining the upcoming GB News team.

Rebecca Hutson

Rebecca Hutson was the former Head of Video for Reach and has also joined the GB News breakfast show.

She will be the Head of Digital for GB News, working in front of and behind the camera.

There have been many rumours on when GB News will finally drop, with no official release date being confirmed.

The broadcaster itself did hint at a release date, however, saying that it was set to launch “within weeks” back on May 21.

The channel will be available on Freeview and YouView Channel 236 and Freesat channel 216.

It will also be available to watch on Sky and Virgin Media, with the channel already broadcasting test content.

GB News will be available to watch later this year on FreeView, Sky and Virgin Media.
