Why did Tim finally turn against Geoff?
Sally’s efforts to steal Geoff’s laptop and uncover the CCTV footage of his final argument with Yasmeen were the cause of Tim’s change of heart last night on the soap.
Although Geoff had deleted the recordings, he’d forgotten to wipe a video he filmed of himself abusing Yasmeen.
Tim, Sally and Faye watched in horror as the abuse played out in front of their eyes – and everything fitted into place.
Tim then confronted Geoff about everything he’d witnessed including trapping Yasmeen in the magic box.
Will Geoff face justice for his actions?
It's looking promising that Geoff will finally be forced to face justice for his actions after Sally took his laptop to the police last night.
Viewers then watched Geoff reduced to tears as Tim opened the door to the police and pointed them to his dad.
But might Geoff manage to worm his way out of the situation?
One satisfied viewer tweeted: “Oh Geoff , now try & get out of this one.”
Another fan added: “Never seen a bit of television more satisfying than when Tim told Geoff straight on last night’s Corrie.”
Will Geoff be sent to prison in Corrie?
Corrie are yet to confirm what’s in store for Geoff, but that hasn’t stopped fans hoping they’ll get to watch him get sent down.
One fan tweeted: “They'll probably do Geoff's trial over Christmas and we'll probably see him get sent down for abusing Yasmeen and all those women on Christmas day. What a wonderful Christmas present from Corrie that would be.”
Another viewer added: “As much as this storyline dragged out, I’m really glad that Geoff was actually found out and will hopefully face justice rather than being killed. #corrie”
And will Yasmeen be released in the meantime?
With Corrie keeping shtum about Yasmeen's fate, viewers will have to tune in to find out.
Corrie producer Ian MacLeod has already confirmed that Geoff will meet his downfall this year.
He previously said: "What form that comeuppance takes is still in discussion. We wanted a redemptive ending ultimately for Yasmeen."
Adding that he, Ian and Shelley had been in correspondence with real-life abuse victims, Ian continued: "For the sake of all those people, we have to tell the right ending with some positivity and optimism."
But whether this downfall will come in the form of prison remains to be seen, and fans will have to watch the soap to find out.
