Gary Windass (Mikey North) will have some explaining to do in Coronation Street next week when Laura Neelan (Kel Allen) confronts him with serious questions over Rick’s (Greg Wood) demise.
Rick, as viewers know, was murdered by Gary several years ago during a heated showdown in the woods. Gary successfully covered up the crime, and has since gone out of his way to make amends for what he did.
Laura, however, has launched an investigation into her ex’s disappearance, in the hopes of finding out what happened to him before she dies, so that daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson) will be financially supported with her dad’s money.
Next week, she makes a huge discovery.
The private investigator pops over for a very interesting chat, as he explains that he’s had absolutely no luck in tracking down Rick. What’s more, he thinks Rick is dead – and that Gary is to blame for his murder!
Laura, as you can imagine, is left reeling by the news, and the above clip – taken from Friday’s (March 25) edition of the ITV soap – sees her confront Gary on the matter.
Gary is left on the spot, as he desperately tries to talk Laura around.
Laura, however, is more convinced than ever that the investigator’s tale is the truth, as she questions why Rick has been so uncontactable for three years.
‘This bloke, he knows all about the police investigation!’, she exclaims. ‘They think he’s dead. And they think YOU did it!’.
Will Gary be able to convince Laura that he didn’t murder Rick? Or is his web of lies finally starting to unravel?
Only time will tell!
One to watch: Friday March 25 at 8pm on ITV.
