Lorraine Kelly admitted her experience of miscarriage was "exactly the same" as Meghan Markle 's in a devastating admission on Wednesday's show.
The Duchess of Sussex penned an op-ed for The New York Times this week, explaining she'd suffered a miscarriage in January of this year.
Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry, said she felt a sharp cramp while at home and was rushed to hospital, where she later learned she had lost her baby.
In a brave admission, she recalled watching "my husband's heart break as he tried to hold the shattered pieces of mine".
Speaking with Dr Hilary Jones, Lorraine was deeply moved by the revelation, explaining it reminded her of her own miscarriage, which she suffered when her daughter Rosie was just six years old.
Comparing her experience to that of the Duchess, she said: "It's almost exactly the same."
"My heart just goes out to her, it's so so sad," she added, saying: "The way that she's done it is absolutely brilliant."
Lorraine thanked Dr Hilary for his support throughout her personal heartbreak, saying: "What really helped me was obviously being able to talk to you."
The Scottish presenter then revealed she regretted returning to her job in television immediately after her miscarriage, saying: "I went back to work too quick, you said that to me."
