They only came in second place in this year's winter edition of Love Island.
Yet despite not getting the public vote, a body language expert insists Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins will outlast winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan.
Body language expert Darren Stanton has shared his thoughts on last night’s ITV2 final, as he analysed the top two couples – Sanam and Kai as well as Ron and Lana.
He argued that Lana and Ron had a stronger connection than the winning couple Kai and Sanam, who are still in its "honeymoon phase".
Darren said that Ron and Lana were ‘truly gutted’ over second place as they displayed ‘disappointment’.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, he said: “I definitely believe Ron and Lana expected to win during last night’s final. Ahead of the winners being announced, their expressions were the height of anticipation and suspense, which clearly proved they wanted to win.
"They went on to display signals of disappointment, shock and disbelief, based on their facial expressions and body language. However, they quickly recovered and congratulated Kai and Sanam. It’s clear Ron and Lana were truly gutted over coming second."
He went on to say that he believed Ron and Lana to have a stronger connection than Kai and Sanam, and even argued that he think they'll last longer than the winning couple.
“In terms of connection, I believe Ron and Lana have shown a stronger bond and rapport out of the two couples. They definitely have a greater chance of surviving when placed back into reality,” Darren said.
However, viewers did not seem to agree with Darren as they reacted to something Ron said during his and Lana's interview with host Maya Jama on Monday's final.
Grilling Ron and Lana about their future, Maya said: "So, what's the next step then. Ron, you moving up north?"
To which Ron quickly replied: "Not yet, we'll have our own bases… we've spoken about it" with Lana adding: "We're going to spend a lot of time together, aren't we?"
However, it was Ron's next remark that left fans confused as he admitted: "I want to miss her for a bit, I want to miss her!"
This is what confused viewers, as they weren't sure what he meant by it, and also believed that he should want to spend a lot of his time with his girlfriend.
But while the newly crowned winners managed to win over the public with their love story, Darren has predicted that the pair won’t survive on the outside, as Kai ‘fails to reciprocate’ Sanam’s ‘genuine feelings of love’.
He argued: "Despite winning the competition, I personally do not believe the couple will last. The pair are very much still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, and are yet to be tested on the outside.
"I do not believe they will have longevity when they return to reality and away from the close knit environment of the villa. From her body language, it’s apparent Sanam has genuine feelings of love for Kai. However, I do not believe Kai reciprocates his feelings back on the same level."
