Meghan Markles co-stars awkward reply when asked what shes really like

GMB: Max Beesley calls Meghan Markle a ‘wonderful actress’

Max Beesley found himself in an awkward position on Good Morning Britain when Ed Balls tried to get some gossip on Meghan Markle.

Host Susanna Reid said: “You’ve worked with some brilliant actors, of course, you’ve worked with Meghan Markle on Suits.”

Calling the Duchess of Sussex an “excellent actress”, the Good Morning Britain host touched on the amount of pressure she’s under at the moment.

Max replied: “Terrific actress, wonderful to work with.”

Ed then asked: “Did you know back then, that she would go on to be a global star? Could you see it in her back then?”

Stuttering slightly, Max added: “Well I did most of my work with Donna Paulsen, Sarah Rafferty who plays Donna is a terrific actress as well.

“It was quite daunting going on that show as well because I was meant to be the British version of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).

“I started watching the first season of Suits, watching Gabriel and I was like, ‘Oh my God, he’s both a terrific actor and also an incredibly handsome chap.”

Although as Max discussed his time on the show, Ed realised he was diverting the conversation away from Meghan.

He asked: “So you’re not going to tell us anything about what Meghan Markle was like?”

Picking up his glass of water, Max replied: “Absolutely nothing, whatsoever.”

Laughing, Ed could tell the actor wasn’t going to reveal anything about the 41-year-old and Susanna called her a terrific actress once again.

However, it wasn’t the only time Meghan was mentioned during their chat with the actor as when the interview was drawing to a close, Ed tried one last time.

He quipped: “One more chance, Meghan Markle?”

Keeping tight-lipped, the actor looked at the table in front of him as he replied: “What a lovely array of newspapers.”

The two hosts laughed as Max managed to avoid answering the question for a second time.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
