NCIS: Hawaii season two finale teased in sneak peak
After premiering in 2021, NCIS Hawaii has quickly become a beloved extension of the procedural CBS franchise.
Although the drama follows the gripping investigations of a skilled team of agents, the latest episode took a major turn.
During Past Due, fans gained major insight into Jane Tennant’s (played by Vanessa Lachey) history.
While her life as a single mother of two children and dicey relationship with her ex Daniel (Anthony Ruivivar) have been explored, the agent’s past has remained a mystery, until now.
After the discovery of a dead former MI6 agent, Tennant’s background as a CIA agent comes to light when she becomes a suspect.
In order to prove her innocence she went rogue and left her team in the dark, who tried to piece together this mystery.
As a result, Supervisory Agent John Swift (Henry Ian Cusick) from the Office of Special Projects was introduced to temporarily take over Tennant’s role.
However, he quickly became a thorn in the team’s side, specifically Jesse Boone’s (Noah Mills) as he tried to step into a leadership role as Tennant’s right-hand man.
However, Swift was having none of it and quickly benched Jesse, which sparked major fear among fans,

Viewers took to social media with angst about Jesse’s future on the team and questioned how this would impact their work to help Tennant.
Taking to Twitter @gini__us remarked: “Jesse is benched!? Well, that didn’t go well as planned.”
A furious @aclarkcountry raged: “Jesse can’t be benched. He’s one of the best agents.”
While @whistlersarmy hit back: “Sir, leave Jesse alone!”
@yolandadoran9885 anxiously asked: “Is Jesse Boone getting suspended or leaving NCIS Hawai’i?”
Despite the fears, the actor opened up about his character’s frosty relationship with Swift and teased about the season finale.
Mills shared: “With Jane being out and the team not knowing what the hell she’s getting into, but just knowing that she’s family, Jesse is in this mode of doing whatever he has to, regardless of protocol, to help and protect her.
“Then in comes Swift and he takes Jesse off the case; emotions don’t win out in the real battle.
“But it’s an icy relationship – and ultimately he is there to help and we have to find a way to work with him,” Mills added to HELLO!
NCIS Hawaii season 2 concludes Monday on CBS in the USA. Season 2 airs Wednesday on Disney+ in the UK.
