Peter Andre, 47, scraps plans to retire at 50 as he sets his sights on Hollywood acting career

PETER Andre is scrapping his plans to retire at 50 after setting his sights on a Hollywood acting career.

The 47-year-old revealed he changed re-evaluated his decision after lockdown gave him time to think things over.

The Mysterious Girl singer wrote in a column for new! magazine: "Before this year, I had a desire to slow right down and semi rear when I pushed 50.

"Lockdown has made me re-evaluate and realise I want to push harder and work solidly. I can't wait to get back to work properly!"

Dad-of-four Pete has plans to land himself a Hollywood role and act on the silver screen when the pandemic is over.

The star admitted he had a "new hunger" for acting and songwriting, and so has added on another five years of work before his retirement.

"Film is still my main focus. The movie I shot with Junior – On The Other Foot – will be out next year and I’ve got a meeting this week about another one," he wrote in the column.

"I’d also love to continue to grow our YouTube channel and do more songwriting for other artists."

Pete has had his eyes set on Hollywood for some time, and this year got an American visa so he could travel for more roles.

It seems Pete will be keeping busy, as he and wife Emily Andre recently agreed to try for two more children before he turns 50.

The broody singer said that while he had been convincing his wife to have one more baby, she was ready to expand even further.

He said: "Here I was trying to get my head around the thought of having one more child but then Emily throws a bombshell on me of having two more children."
