Strictly's Katya Jones and Nicola Adams finally reunite after coronavirus forced them out of the show

NICOLA Adams and Katya Jones finally reunited today and shared a big hug after coronavirus forced them out of the show.

Former champion flyweight boxer Nicola, 38, was forced to leave the competition after Katya, 31, got Covid-19.

But the Olympian proved there are no hard feelings as she visited Katya at her home in London today.

The girls – who were part of the show’s first same sex pairing – hadn't been able to see each other since leaving the show because of quarantine rules.

But today they met up for a walk and shared a warm embrace.

Both women wrapped up against the cold in big padded jackets while Katya brought her dog along for the stroll.

Last week The Sun reported the pair will return to Strictly Come Dancing for one last twirl.

And Russian pro Katya has also been informally told by show bosses that she will be on the next series.

BBC bosses are now planning for the pair to have an extended dance during the final.

A source said: “Strictly bosses knew as soon as Nicola had to leave that they wanted to do something special for her.

“The rules mean she can’t come back to the show next year but they’re planning to bring her back with Katya for the final.

“And Katya is a much valued professional on the show and is hugely popular.

"This hasn’t affected her place in the Strictly family.”
