The 19-year-old EastEnders actress, who is taking part in this year’s series of the BBC dance show, made the startling announcement on Instagram.
She posted a picture of herself beside some boats on the beach in the coastal resort of Lowestoft, Suffolk.
Maisie wrote: "This was the day a giant seagull bit my face tryna eat my fish finger bap."
Her followers responded with a mixture of shock and amusement with Ruby Allen co-star Louisa Lytton writing simply: "🤩."
The star, who plays Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders, was yesterday pictured on a bus tour of Southend, Essex.

Bosses ruled out the usual trip to Blackpool for the first time ever this series because of coronavirus restrictions.
