Susanna Reid is a popular TV presenter and journalist who used to present BBC Breakfast until 2014. From 2014 onwards she has appeared as a regular host on the ITV morning talk show, Good Morning Britain. She is taking a break from the show and fans are keen to know when she will be back on GMB.

Where is Susanna Reid? Why is she not on GMB today and when is she back?

The 49-year-old presenter has been hosting Good Morning Britain alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shepard for six years.

The star appears on the show between Monday and Thursday, from 6.30am until 9am, but she has now taken a step back.

Both she and Morgan revealed they would be taking a break from the show, and will not be back until early September.

The hosts usually take some time off every year during the summer holidays, but they said this year has been particularly difficult.

With the coronavirus pandemic impacting the hosts both personally and professionally, they are taking a well-earned leave of absence.

The official Good Morning Britain Twitter account shared a video of their best moments as their last day was on July 8.

They said: “As @Piersmorgan and @Susannareid100 say goodbye for the summer, they leave with a message of thanks to the viewers for watching through the pandemic. See you in September.”

After the best bits, Reid is heard saying to Piers: “When you were thanking the team, of course I add my thanks to the team as well.

“From everyone here on the floor, to the gallery, to production, everyone who looks after us.

“I want to say a particular thank you to the political producers who have to ring the Government departments every day.

“And saying ‘is your minister coming on Good Morning Britain tomorrow?’ and they get an earful no doubt.”

GMB has nicknamed the pair ‘Shouty and Pouty’ – with Reid taking the ‘Pouty’ nickname.

Fans have commented on the video, which Reid shared on her own Twitter page.

One fan said: “We will miss you both, wish you a great, fun time off. Being called Shouty and Pouty isn’t bad after all, you both could star in your own detective series like Dempsey and make peace.

“Anyway, Susanna you’ll be truly missed. Thanks for bringing us a great GMB, I shall miss it.”

Good Morning Britain said a number of different hosts will be filling her shoes, so there could be someone different presenting each day.

Reid has recently starred on the latest season of Celebrity Gogglebox alongside friend Robert Rinder, otherwise known as Judge Rinder.

He said: “Delighted to say my dear friend @susannareid100 and I will be joining the esteemed @c4gogglebox sofa dwellers later this series.

“Susanna, my flatulent dog and I can be caught passing judgement from July 3 on @channel4 #celebritygogglebox.”
