JERSEY Shore alum Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola has been living a fairly quiet life since the end of her MTV series in 2012.
The 34-year-old has been focused on her businesses, her romantic relationships, and her fitness in the near-decade since the show ended.
Aside from making a few guest appearances on MTV’s Jersey Shore spinoff, Snoooki & Jwoww, between 2012 and 2014, Sammi has kept mostly out of the spotlight.
She had a couple of other guest spots on reality shows, including on Makeover Manor and Project Runway, but ultimately decided to focus more on her personal relationships and ventures.
In 2017, Sammi participated with her former castmates for an E! special called Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore.
Despite taking part in the special, the 34-year-old turned down the opportunity to return for the 2018 Jersey Shore spinoff, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
Most of the original cast returned for the new iteration, but Sammi revealed in an Instagram post at the time that she chose not to come back in order to avoid "potentially toxic situations."
She wrote: "I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship.
"I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS."
Sammi Sweetheart continued: "However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies. I've decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy.
"I will forever be grateful to 'Jersey Shore' and everything it has brought to me! I've just decided to live my life for me these days."
Instead of spending her time on the JS offshoot, she's been focused on building up her online clothing and accessories line, Sweetheart Styles.
She recently announced a n upcoming addition to that venture, which is called Sweetheart Coast.
On the relationship front, Sammi is happily engaged to her fiance Christian Biscardi, and the duo just celebrated two years of engagement.
They started dating in 2017, a few years after Sammi split from Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and got engaged in 2019, and Christian marked the recent milestone of theirs with a sweet post on Instagram.
He shared a photo of him proposing to Sammi and her trying not to crying, writing with it: “Two years ago today! Grateful.
“Even grateful for the cameraman I paid to hide in the bush who wasn’t exactly paying attention!
“The world has changed a bit, but wedding bells shall ring despite the planning difficulties. Here’s to many wonderful years ahead!”
The pair were supposed to get married last spring, but the coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone the nuptials.
Earlier this month, Sammi showed fans that she's been keeping her health and fitness a top priority in her life with a full-length mirror selfie that flaunted her flat stomach.
The former reality star looked like she was about to get a good workout in, wearing a pair of curve-hugging blue-grey leggings, a black sports bra, and a pair of Nike sneakers.
Sammi ditched a top and opted for just the sports bra look, putting her strong, six-pack abs on display.
