Who Wants To Be Millionaire fans rage as Jeremy Clarkson cuts off phone-a-friend

Jeremy Clarkson was branded “rude” by certain viewers during this evening’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, as he interrupted a phone-a-friend.

Data analyst Saul, 27, stepped up to the plate, winning the fastest finger and trying his hand at the hot seat.

Unfortunately, a question about Spanish geography threw him, and he decided to use his “phone-a-friend” lifeline and call his pal Mike.

Jeremy put the call in, dialling Mike as he sought help with the question on Saul’s behalf.

However, when he asked Mike “how are you” – and he tried to answer the question – Jeremy was quick to cut him off.

He snapped: “I’m not that bothered.”

Jezza then remarked that people who tell you “how they are” can usually be described as bores.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were furious, as they suggested Jeremy’s behaviour was rather “rude” and unnecessary.

One said: “@JeremyClarkson ‘a bore is someone when asked how they are, they tell you!’ I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone as a presenter be so dismissive and rude! #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire learn some manners!”

A second added: “Someone tell Jeremy Clarkson that you're not obliged to be rude to people #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”

And a third chimed: “Clarkson calling the guy he’s rang a bore within the first few seconds is bold. #wwtbam #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire.”

“@MillionaireUK your host #jeremyclarkson is quite rude, seems to love embarrassing people on national tv. ruins the show tbh,” griped a fourth.
