It was an incredible victory for DailyMailTV, which beat out the long-running entertainment shows in just its sophomore season.
‘Our show is now two years old, the show is very successful despite the host,’ Palmer joked as he accepted the award.
‘I really came here tonight, all I cared about was Game of Thrones tonight. But now I don’t care, see you at the after party!’
Martin Clarke, DMG Media publisher and executive producer of DailyMailTV, called the award a ‘brilliant achievement for the entire DailyMailTV, DailyMail.com and Stage 29 team’.
‘Since we launched DailyMailTV in 2017 we have positioned ourselves as a news program unlike any other on daytime television in the United States,’ he added.

‘Every day we are committed to providing our viewers with the best exclusive stories and latest breaking news that they won’t find anywhere else. We’d like to thank our viewers for tuning in each day and also thank the Academy for this tremendous honor.’
‘I am so very proud of the entire Daily Mail team. We offer a unique show that in less than two years has made its mark on American TV. I couldn’t be happier being part of the Daily Mail family,’ added DailyMailTV executive producer Jay McGraw.
Executive producer Dr. Phil McGraw added: ‘DailyMailTV has certainly made its mark. Congratulations to everyone at Daily Mail. This is very well deserved.’
‘This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the DailyMailTV, DailyMail.com and Stage 29 team,’ said executive producer Carla Pennington.

The Outstanding Entertainment News Program has been dominated by Entertainment Tonight and Extra since it was created in 2014.
But DailyMailTV, which was also nominated for Outstanding Main Title and Graphics this year, scored record ratings in its sophomore season with major exclusives.
The series broke the news that Wendy Williams had been living in a sober facility after the talk show host’s recent relapse, and scored Asia Argento’s first and only English-language interview since the death of her partner Anthony Bourdain and allegations of sexual assault.
It also featured Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle’s first ever joint interview, and broke the news of Tristan Thompson’s affair with another woman just days before Khloe Kardashian gave birth to their first child.
