LONDON is set for a sizzling 24C as the North of England faces warm downpours.
A North-South split bring very different days to Brits today as many will enjoy a warm, sunny day while others face showers.
In the capital, the mercury will hit a scorching 24C today while temperatures further Norther will struggle to reach the high teens.
The Met Office says there will be outbreaks of rain across central and northern parts of the country.
The South of the UK will stay bright and warm throughout the day.
Brighter weather will push through parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland as the day goes on.
However, that warm weather will be short-lived as rain will drizzle across parts of the South tonight and into tomorrow morning.
By Friday, outbreaks there will be fewer outbreaks of sunshine as the country will be blanketed by clouds with scattered storms.
There will be isolated showers in south Wales and South West England – and rain affecting the West during the evening.
Saturday will then be unsettled with plenty of cloud and showers spreading eastwards across the country.
Meteorologist Sarah Kent says conditions are due to dampen on Friday, and people should prepare for a “disappointing” weekend.
Ms Kent told The Sun by the weekend, the UK is in the firing line of a “succession of Atlantic fronts” which invariably bring unsettled weather.
Conditions on Saturday will be “very showery” with lots of clouds casting a grim shadow over outdoor weekend plans.
Frequent wet spells are expected, with torrential showers and thunderstorms in the East.
