Mum arrested over bin bags outside her home will have fine paid by Sun reader

A SINGLE mum locked in police cells for putting her rubbish out in bin bags will have her £350 fly-tipping fine paid by a fuming Sun reader.

We told last week how Stacey Storey, 31, was taken to court for leaving bags outside her home after her bin was stolen.

She was arrested in front of her five kids.

Stacey told the court she reported the theft to the council, but no replacement turned up.

A benefactor who read our report but wants to remain anonymous has now offered to pay.

Stacey, of Bishop Auckland, Co Durham, said: “This kind act will help make Christmas easier.

"I can’t thank them enough.”

She has since had three new bins delivered.
