Someone tried to pants Times Square’s Naked Cowboy

Someone tried to rip the tighty-whities right off of Times Square’s Naked Cowboy over the weekend.

Video posted on social media shows a prankster run up and tug the famously dressed-down minstrel’s skivvies in an apparent attempt to make him live up to his name.

“One of these guys in the crowd just ran up and tore at the Naked Cowboys underwear and then yelled ‘Now you’re naked,’” said YouTuber Elad Eliahu, 27, who posted the footage on Twitter Tuesday.

“He was performing for a small group of tourists,” Elad said of the cowboy, real name Robert Burck, who was playing “Country Roads” by John Denver when the cheeky assailant struck.

The trickster pulled Burck to the ground as he tried to strip him, footage shows.

“I saw him out of the corner of my eye,” Burck told The Post. “He wanted to just rip my underwear off and i didnt want my weiner flipping around. It scraped the hell out of my knee.”

People around Burck helped the stunned singer up from the street.

“It’s really aggressive,” Eliahu said of the incident. “While it was happening in real time, I thought it was a set up or a prank. Then it was clear they weren’t working together. I just felt bad. The Naked Cowboy he was just trying to keep his drawers up.”

The dustup came as people celebrated Joe Biden’s election victory over President Trump. The Naked Cowboy is an avowed Trumper, but the pants-er’s politics were unclear.
