Victoria has recorded 73 cases of COVID-19, the lowest total since early July, and an additional 41 deaths.
According to the Health Department, the deaths include 22 people who died in the weeks leading up to 27 August and reported to the department by aged care facilities on Sunday.
It is the highest number of deaths published by the department on a single day.
The daily case total is the lowest since July 3 when the state recorded 66 cases.
