THE notorious serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, often kept the remains of his victims in his apartment.

However, four of his victims bodies were never found, including 28-year-old, Eddie Smith.

Who was Jeffrey Dahmer victim Edward Smith?

Edward "Eddie" Smith, was Dahmer's seventh victim, and he killed the 28-year-old only two weeks after his previous murder.

Smith was known as "The Sheikh" by his friends because he often wore a head scarf.

He was an aspiring model from Milwaukee, with a loving family.

Smith's sister, Carolyn, became a prominent figure in the trial, and his brother, J.W. Smith, read out statements in court from their family.

Eddie inherited all the blessings that a family structure had to offer. The greatest of those blessings was love," he added.

What happened to Edward Smith?

On the evening of June, 14, 1990, Smith was last seen leaving The Phoenix Bar in Milwaukee.

It is believed that Smith met Dahmer at the bar and the pair went back to the killer's Wisconsin apartment together.

Smith's friends told the police that they had seen the two men together at various clubs in Milwaukee, prior to Dahmer killing him.

The 28-year-old's body was never found, however the authorities could confirm Dahmer murdered him as they found photographs of Smith in the killer's home.

Dahmer also confessed to killing him.

Later, he told authorities he had felt “terrible” about murdering the 28-year-old since he couldn’t retain any part of his body.

In an interview after his conviction, Dahmer explained that he liked to keep his victims body parts.

"If I couldn't keep them there with me whole, I at least felt that I could keep their skeleton," he said.

Who were Jeffrey Dahmer's victims?

Dahmer murdered 17 young boys between 1978 and 1991.

The majority of his victims were of African American descent and many of them were gay or bisexual.

He murdered his first victim, 18-year-old Steven Hicks, in 1978.

He then went on to kill and dismember 16 more young men before he was finally caught in July 1991.
