James Blunt discusses owning his own pub in Chelsea

James Blunt’s Prime Video reality show has reportedly been cancelled after just one series.

In his first venture into television presenting, the army captain turned You’re Beautiful chart-topper hosted Beer Masters on the streamer alongside drinks expert Jaega Wise.

Launched in 2021, the five-part series saw Europe’s best home brewers go head-to-head, brewing popular beer styles and taking on creative and technical challenges.

In each episode, their offerings were judged by top brewmasters and beer lovers with one team being crowned Beer Masters.

It featured head brewers from Camden Town Brewery and Stella Artois, as well as celebrity judges such as Daisy Lowe.

Each week, a beer was awarded gold and a place in the final and the overall winners saw their beer launched and sold commercially in James’s pub, The Fox And Pheasant in Chelsea, West London, which he bought in 2017.

Although the show proved popular with fans it appears that they won’t be getting a second season.

“Beer Masters had all the ingredients to become a long-runner for Prime Video and it went down well with punters.

“But sometimes these limited series don’t suit ongoing commercial strategies, it’s not just about ratings,” a source told The Sun.
