Davina McCall has admitted she’d ‘rather be celibate’ for the ‘rest of her life’ than join celebrity dating app Raya.
The TV presenter, 55, who is gearing up to host a brand-new dating show for middle aged men and women, revealed it would be ‘too embarrassing’.
And dishing out her top relationship advice ahead of its launch, the star said matchmaking is the way forward for people of ‘her age’.
Speaking to Radio Times, she said explained: ‘I’d rather be celibate for the rest of my life! It would be too embarrassing!
‘At our age, it’s up to your mates to sort you out. I matchmade a couple of friends – I reckon they’re going to get married. But men don’t stay single for very long.’

She added on the differences of dating now: ‘When you’re trying to get 20-year-olds to date, it’s easy because, at 20, you’re just thinking, “Do I fancy you? Yeah. Brilliant!”
‘With a dating show for people in midlife… it’s not just about a sexual connection, although the immediate spark has to be there. You need to go, “I fancy them a bit,” but getting to know somebody is a lot more important.
‘Everyone our age comes with baggage. But that’s what makes people interesting and sometimes it’s what hooks you in.’
Thankfully, Davina shouldn’t have to join any form of dating app anytime soon.
In 2019, the star went public with her romance with hairdresser Michael Douglas, 48, who she is still happily dating.
The couple moved in together in December last year.
Davina and Michael were old friends and first met when he styled her hair during her Big Brother presenting days.
Speaking to the publication, she explained: ‘I think people know I’ve got divorced, I have a new partner, and we’ve all got kids.

‘I have an understanding of what that’s like and, hopefully, they know from my Streetmate days that if I can help anybody fall in love, I’m on it!’
Davina confirmed the end of her 17-year marriage to ex-husband Matthew Robertson in November 2017, when she told MailOnline: ‘I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated.
‘Our amazing children are our number one priority, above everything else so therefore we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible while our family goes through this difficult time.’
The former couple, share three children, Holly, 21, Tilly 19, and 16-year-old son Chester.
Davina married the former Pet Rescue presenter at a lavish ceremony at Eastnor Castle, in Hertfordshire, in 2000.
The much loved presenter’s first marriage to Andrew Leggett ended after a few months in 1997. She met Matthew by chance while walking her dog in Clapham Common a few months later.
The couple renewed their vows in 2015, when she said: ‘I’m very lucky, because as far as I know I’ve married a really faithful guy.
‘When I think of Matthew and me in our 70s I see us on a world cruise with entertainment every night!’
Meanwhile, Davina believes her dating show for ‘midlifers’ is a must-watch to prove that love can still be found after 40.

The brunette beauty says she champions mature singles as the true romance experts and cites her own confidence growth as an example.
She told The Mirror: ‘If you’re dating in your 50s, you know much better what your shortcomings are, and would have learned from mistakes you have made in previous relationships.
‘You will know the people who suit you, and the people who will bring out the worst in you.
‘There’s so many plusses to trying to find somebody in midlife because of your self-awareness.’
