She said: “It was all, sort of, quite organic because I was pregnant with Willow, and A Place in the Sun didn't get recommissioned, so they didn't want it for a couple of years.
“And by the time it came back, Willow was three and a half, and she was in nursery, and I had a load of other commitments.
“I just thought, I'm not taking her out of nursery, I'm not taking her out of school, I’m not leaving her for three weeks at a time.
She continued: “So the decision was kind of made for me.”

Fortunately for Amanda and her supportive fans, a return to A Place In The Sun might be possible.
The property expert teased: “I might be doing something with them this year.”
Exposing more of the upcoming plans, the former model added: “A Place In The Sun was amazing, and I had so much fun doing it.
“I might be doing something with them this year, but I can’t say any more than that!”
Amanda also reminisced on her previous dream job, which gave her the luxuries of travelling to beautiful filming locations.
She finalised: “There's nothing better than waking up in the morning and looking out to a beautiful beach!”
The former Channel 4 presenter has been keeping the details of her return to the show under wraps but confirmed to Entertainment Daily that she is returning for a few episodes.
