Coronation Street viewers have been left scratching their heads as they wonder where Aggie Bailey is during her husband Ed's gambling ordeal.
During Tuesday's episode (October 24), Ronnie discovered that his brother Ed had picked up gambling again. Confronting him, Ronnie told Ed that they would have to seek help for his addiction.
Although Ed was reluctant, he promised his younger brother that he had everything under control. But Ronnie was left concerned even further when he realised that Ed had been paying his staff members with his winnings.

But with everything going on, fans were left wondering where Aggie was in all of this and when she would be returning to the famous cobbles. One viewer asked: "Where's Aggie? When's she coming back? We need her back. One minute, she's practically running the NHS in Weatherfield, the next she's the invisible woman!"
Another viewer said: "Ronnie can't tell Aggie because that would require Aggie to be in an episode." A third fan wrote: "Ronnie ought to say to Ed…' either you get help or I'll tell Aggie…if I can find out where she's been hiding all these weeks.'"
Meanwhile, a fourth spectator added: "Aggie’s not even been in the show for like 18 months Ed. Plus Ronnie is with Debbie. Just admit you’re gambling Ed."
The unexplained absence of Aggie from Coronation Street has left a number of viewers perplexed. Although it has previously been mentioned that she is occupied with her duties as a nurse in the hospital, another reason given is that she is visiting a member of her family.
But it comes as a surprise to avid Corrie viewers due to the fact that in her last appearance, Aggie expressed frustration over her inability to spend quality time with Ed and her children. Considering the significant role the Bailey family has played in recent episodes, Aggie's absence has been a concern.
As well as Ed trying to hide and curb his addiction, Aggie has also been absent during scenes concerning her eldest son, Michael. Over the last few months, Michael has been heavily involved in Stephen Reed's downfall after it was recently discovered that he was a serial murder.
Michael, who was non-the-wiser to Stephen's crime found himself bein questioned by the police regarding his involvement. But again nothing was heard from Aggie throughout the ordeal.
