Sex Education: Trailer for final season of hit show
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Sex Education season 3
Otis Milburn (played by Asa Butterfield) and his best friend Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) are seen attending their new school.
Here’s a refresher for those keen to know about the fate of the original Sex Education school Moordale.
What happened to Moordale in Sex Education?
At the end of season three of Netflix’s hit Sex Education Moordale was thrown into jeopardy thanks to headmistress Hope Haddon (Jemina Kirke) after she rebranded the school as Sparkside Academy.
She imposed a uniform code and sex education which focused on abstinence.
Hope also planned to attract investors to put money into the school after her radical rebrand.

The head went on to invite journalists and prospective investors to the school for an open day to show how she’d changed it.
However, her schemes went awry after she was sabotaged by the students, including non-binary pupil Cal (Dua Saleh) whom Hope had locked in a room but managed to escape.
By the end of the last series, it was announced Moordale would be shut down and sold off after all the investors pulled out.
This is why the students of Moordale become dispersed and only some of them attend Cavendish College, while others go to different education institutions.

The end of Moordale was also a device to give a reason as to why so many familiar faces had left.
Among those to have exited from the show were Simone Ashley as Olivia Hanan, Tanya Reynolds as Lily Iglehart and Patricia Allison as Ola Nyman.
Moreover, Sex Education has served as an incredible launch pad for the younger cast members who were virtually unknown when the show first started with Gatwa playing the new Time Lord in Doctor Who, while Maeve Wiley star Emma Mackey now counts credits in Death on the Nile, Barbie and Emily.
Adam Groff actor Connor Swindells has demonstrated his versatility in a number of projects including the BBC’s SAS: Rogue Heroes to Vigil.
Addressing the end of Sex Education, creator and showrunner Laurie Nunn said: “Writing this feels bittersweet, as we’ve decided the fourth season will also be the final instalment of our show.
“This was not an easy decision to make, but as the themes and stories of the new season crystallised, it became clear that this was the right time to graduate.”
Nunn went on to say: “We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode.
“They have worked tirelessly to bring you this final season, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
“Goodbyes are the worst, but let’s celebrate all the good times we’ve had.”
