I'm A Celebrity was thrust into chaos after host Declan Donnelly required medical attention during the filming of a bushtucker trial.
The newest series of the hit ITV show finished on Sunday (December 10) as Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson beating out professional boxer Tony Bellew and controversial politician Nigel Farage to become the King of the Jungle. However, the jungle action did not stop for hosts Ant and Dec as one of the Geordie lads suffered a serious injury whilst taking on a trial themselves.
According to the Mirror, Dec – together with his co-host Ant were given the opportunity to take on the iconic Celebrity Cyclone trial. The trial, known to many as one of the most memorable challenges of the show, sees the final four celebrities take on gale-force winds and water spray to cling on their stars and win a meal for camp.

Around a decade ago, ITV's annual telethon Text Santa offered the chance for the Newcastle-born pair to take on the trial themselves. Whilst up for it at the time, Dec would later come to regret the decision as things did not go to plan for the dad-of-two.
After taking on the trial, Dec was thrust into medical issues, requiring months of physiotherapy treatment. The cheeky chap, together with his partner in crime, was climbing the slippery slope when he suffered the serious injury.
Ant, 48, reflected on the challenge and how Dec ended up getting hurt as the pair took on the challenge for a second time last year. "We're doing the Celebrity Cyclone today. It's always fun to do, but it takes a while to do.

"It takes a long time to get everything set up and get all the paint bombs set up and all the sludge and the slime," he continued. "Everybody who watches the show always wants to give it a go. We've actually done it in the past. We've done the trial."
Ant turned to his best mate and asked: "We did it for charity years ago, and didn't you pop your shoulder?" Dec replied: "Yeah I did. I ended up in physio for six months afterwards."
But Dec was quick to distance himself from the negatives, joining in with Ant's excitement saying it was "fun". Ant finished off the point, quipping: "Fun times though, guys, fun times."
