Blake Fielder-Civil discusses the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic
Some of history’s greatest rock stars all have one unfortunate thing in common, which they have tragically died at age 27.
Musicians such as Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, and Jimi Hendrix are part of what is called the ‘27 Club’ which is the informal nickname used to describe the strange occurrence that many of music’s greatest legends have died at such a young age.
According to Charles R. Cross, Kurt Cobtain’s biographer, the “launch of the Club concept” only began to grow in popularity following speculation after the Nirvana singer’s death. He said: “It wasn’t until Kurt Cobain took his own life in 1994 that the idea of the 27 Club arrived in the popular zeitgeist.”
Today marks the anniversary of the death of the brilliant Janis Joplin, who has post-humously been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has been called one of the greatest artists of all time. Janis released three incredible albums during her life, but we will never know what else she could have accomplished.
However, thanks to AI we can take a guess at what these amazing rock and roll legends may look like today, as the DailyStar has used the AI tool Midjounrey to show what members of the 27 Club would be like in 2023.
