How you and your mates can rent Princess Dianas Yellow Castle villa from The Crown

Fans of The Crown are probably a little sad right now as the sixth and final series of the show has started to hit our screens.

But don't worry, if you do need cheering up, here's something guaranteed to put a smile on your face, you can stay in a villa fit for royalty from the show.

The Yellow Castle in Mallorca, which features in the first episode of the last series and is used as a filming location for Mohamed Al Fayed's (Salim Daw) villa, is where Diana and Dodi meet for the first time in the show.

It is in The Crown before and after the yacht scenes, and is located in the same area where they were filmed.

In real life, the villa was called Castle St Theresa and located in St Tropez and it was where Diana, William and Harry stayed in 1997.

Mohamed Al Fayed, who owned the home for years, listed it for sale in 2015, reportedly for £70 million.

However, if you do want a taste of the royal life and to see what it's like to stay at a filming location in The Crown, The Yellow Castle is now available to book on Airbnb.

Located on the rocks of Puerto d'Andratx, you can get to the Yellow Castle by land and sea, and it's a truly regal experience.

There's a beautiful pool, hot tub, and terrace next to some stunning gardens and there's also a shaded living and dining area and steps that snake up the cliff to the villa.

It also has a main house complete with three suites and a guest house with three bedrooms in it. As Lady Diana once spent one of her holidays there, there's a Lady Di Suite (Princess of the Hearts) in the main building.

The Yellow Castle also features a rock cave which is an extra retreat within the exclusive venue and adds another unusual touch to your stay.

Airbnb's listing reads: “Daffodil walls and a rocky peninsula fortify this estate near Puerto d'Andratx where Princess Diana stayed, although today the villa is accessible by land or sea.

"The gardens lead to a swimming pool, jacuzzi and terrace with shaded lounge and dining area. The blue and white interiors are cool as a sea breeze. Explore the property’s private rock grotto and descend to the sea.”

If you fancy staying at the villa, it sleeps up to 14 people for £301 a night. Check out the listing and full prices here.
