Laura Hamilton shares montage of property renovation
A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton has recounted getting urgent help from locals after a scooter accident in Thailand. The presenter, who is a travel enthusiast, was riding the scooter around the Asian country when the painful incident occurred.
“I stayed in a hut in the middle of the jungle in Thailand and I went trekking through the jungle after having burnt my leg on an exhaust pipe on a scooter,” she told the Two Women Chatting podcast.
“I got up the wrong way and when I did, my leg was on the exhaust pipe.” The presenter then explained that thanks to some concerned onlookers, she avoided having a physical reminder of the accident.
“All these Thai ladies came to me and were breaking off bits of Aloe Vera plant and saying, ‘rub this on your leg and it won’t scar’. It never scarred me and I went jungle trekking the day after.

“I had my leg wrapped in a bin liner as they were saying, ‘you’ve got to be careful as the leakages will be on your leg’.” Despite the incident, Laura, who was discussing how she loves a mixture of luxury and “rough and ready” travel, still enjoys using a variety of vehicles during her travels.
Just last week she took to the countryside to rev around trails on a quad bike adventure. The property expert also looked in her element as she joined a female biker gang in Kent while fronting the latest competition for ITV.
Taking to her Instagram, where she boasts 189,000 followers, Laura uploaded a photo of herself posing on a motorbike. She captioned the image: “Another great morning in Kent with @medusa_mc filming with @itvwin live on @thismorning & @loos.”
On Tuesday, the star, who regularly helps connect property buyers with their dream pads abroad, left one fan riled up. “I did get a really weird message from someone the other week, actually, saying: ‘Can’t follow you anymore, I’m bored of seeing you on holiday,'” the puzzled presenter exclaimed.

“I’m like, ‘But I travel for my job! What am I supposed to do?'” Despite the negativity, Laura has been feeling better than ever recently after overhauling her fitness routine and moving into her dream home.
She split from husband Alex Goward in 2021, and they now co-parent their two young children, son Rocco and daughter Tahlia. In September she revealed in an emotional Twitter (X) post that she was “proud of how far” she’s come since reinventing her life as a single woman.
The 41-year-old TV presenter shared a video clip featuring snippets of her massive home renovation, quipping: “Always look back on how far you have come and be proud of what you have achieved. When you do what you love it’s far easier to make a success of it!”
