Florence Pugh was hit directly in the eye by an unknown missile thrown from the crowd attending a recent Dune: Part 2 cast panel.
Clips online show the cast, including Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, posing for a photo with their arms around each other.
Suddenly, an unknown object flew from the crowd, hitting Florence near her eye. She seemed to say “ow” as she bent down to pick up whatever had struck her.
Timothée and Austin Butler, who were standing next to her, immediately showed concern for their fellow performer.
Zendaya, who was chatting with the film’s writer and director, Denis Villeneuve, appeared to miss the moment but quickly realised what had happened.

Florence’s condition is unknown, but from the video, it seems she was more shocked than hurt. Fans were stunned that this trend was continuing and even happening at all.
“It hit her directly in the eye.. this could’ve been so much worse,” one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“If this keeps going it’ll get to the point where people won’t want to do live events anymore for their own safety.”
Another added: “Pathetic behaviour. This is totally awful.”

Other stars who have been hit while performing include Kelsea Ballerini, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande. During the peak of this trend in the summer, Adele warned fans at her Las Vegas show not to try it with her.
“F**king dare you. Dare you to throw something at me,” she said.
“Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f**king show etiquette in America? They’re just throwing s**t onstage.”
