Pop superstar Halsey dropped out of two live “Nightmare Before Christmas” concerts last weekend just days before the shows were to take place, due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Halsey was scheduled to perform on October 27 and 28 at the annual “Nightmare Before Christmas” shows at the Hollywood Bowl, but the singer quietly dropped out, with ticket holders being notified just days before. All mentions of Halsey’s involvement were removed from event pages as well.
On October 10, Halsey was announced as the special guest in the role of Sally and to perform “Sally’s Song” in composer Danny Elfman‘s popular “live-to-film” performances of the 1993 Halloween/Christmas classic, with this year’s concerts set to mark the 30th anniversary of the film.
In recent years, artists like Billie Eilish and Phoebe Bridgers have appeared in the Elfman-led “Nightmare Before Christmas” concerts, with both also portraying Sally in the shows.
According to reports, Halsey canceled her appearance due to the recent sexual assault allegations against Elfman.
