The event may be a week away, but Aldi is currently hosting their own toy event.

Aldi’s iconic wooden toy range has returned this year and shoppers can find festive favourites plus one controversial new addition.

The budget supermarket may risk angering M&S after it unveiled a toy range which features a toy version of Aldi's Cuthbert the Caterpillar cake.

To complete the kitchen experience, Aldi's Wooden Kitchen Set (£9.99) includes coffee cups, a teapot and coasters.

Budding bakers can pick up the Wooden Toy Kitchen (£34.99) which is the perfect place to whip up a culinary storm complete with a sink, tap, washing machine, microwave, oven, hobs and a clock.

The mini-me Wooden Supermarket (£29.99) is also back this year complete with a wooden till, moving conveyor belt and realistic accessories such as Aldi check-out bags and play money.

Shoppers can keep it fully stocked with the Wooden Grocery set (£9.99), including wooden sandwiches, soft cheese and coffee.

All wooden toys will be available in stores from October 19 but only for as long as stock lasts.
