Mason Greenwood could make international comeback as coach praises his 'talent' – but it won't be with England | The Sun

MASON Greenwood could make an international comeback as a coach praised his "talent" – but it won't be with England.

The ex-Manchester United forward, who scored his first Getafe goal on Sunday, can still swap nations as he only earnt one cap for the Three Lions in 2020.

And Jamaica's manager Heimir Hallgrimsson now wants Greenwood to follow in the footsteps of Prem stars Ethan Pinnock, Demarai Gray and Michail Antonio.

The Reggae Boyz coach said: "We would like to have the best talent on our team.

"If he gets his former fitness and former levels, then for sure he would have that level to help Jamaica."

His backing comes after the half-Jamaican was suspended by Man United in January 2022.

The 22-year-old arrived at Getafe on deadline day this summer and made his debut on September 17, with his coach Jose Bordalas pledging to help him "recover his best level".

He had not kicked a ball since January 22, 2022, when the Red Devils took on West Ham.
