Coronation Street spoilers in picture format for the week we’ve all been waiting for certainly don’t disappoint, with the end of Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) reign of terror looking every bit as good as we’ve hoped.
The serial killer’s secrets are set to be exposed as part of ITV’s Super Soap Week, which will see various residents of the cobbles start to realise that they’ve got a killer in their midst.
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who has long had suspicions about the businessman’s intentions, gets wind of his interest in the canal dredging project and the cogs start to turn as he swoops into action, heading to the canal towpath, where he finds a corpse’s hand floating to the surface.
The body in question, as fans will recall, is that of Teddy’s, who Stephen murdered earlier this year.
Horrified by the sight before him, Tim flees to his cab and reports the dead body. Stephen, however, has tracked him to the canal and, killing the call, he proceeds to strangle Tim with a tie before knocking him unconscious and bundling his body into the boot of a car, which he douses with petrol.

Is Tim set to lose his life at Stephen’s hands?
That remains to be seen but, elsewhere on the Street, Carla Connor (Alison King) informs Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) that Stephen is being investigated for murder, leaving her speechless.
Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), meanwhile, is horrified when Sarah (Tina O’Brien) reveals that Stephen defrauded her.
The cobbles legend heads to Stephen’s, where she finds him in the middle of an altercation with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), making it quite clear that she wants answers.
But when the credits roll on the final episode of the week, will Stephen be in police custody? Or will he manage to have evaded justice?
Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday, October 9 and Friday, October 13 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
