Gordon Ramsay charges £290pp for Christmas dinner – without turkey and booze

Christmas is that one time of the year when you feel less guilty about treating yourself and others. One part of the festivities people like to go all out on is the Christmas dinner.

Maybe you'll buy some goose fat for your roasties? Or perhaps cough up the cash on some pigs in blankets and a big jar of cranberry sauce? However, it looks like some people will be really splurging on their Christmas nosh up this year, £290 to be exact.

That's right, everyone's favourite foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay will be charging guests just under £300 for Christmas dinner at one of his luxury eateries this year – and the deal doesn't even include turkey.

If you plan on spending Christmas at Petrus by Gordon Ramsay, a restaurant located on Kinnerton Street in South West London, well expect to be paying the £290 per head or a whopping £1,160 if you're paying for a family of four.

However, the dinner doesn't come with the classic Christmas bird nor drinks, and on top of that, a 15% "discretionary service charge" on top of an already pricy bill. Despite not offering turkey on the menu at Gordan's Petrus restaurant, there certainly is a long list of decadent grub to feast on.

From Dover sole served with ceps and black truffle to lobster ravioli and even Aynhoe Park deer, the menu certainly makes the turkey and trimmings look modest.

Oh, and for dessert? Well you could tuck into a plaisir sucre which is the high brow way of saying 'chocolate cake' (pretty much). What about the wine, you ask? Of course, you need some booze to wash down all the classic Christmas grub like lobster and truffle.

If you want the wine pairing then you better dig deep into your pockets, as you're looking at three pricy pairing options. The premium pairing, costs £220, the connoisseur pairing will cause you to cough up £395, and the indulgence pairing comes in at an eye-watering £875.

Better keep the family dinner table spats at bay if you're going to pay out that much!
