Former EastEnders stars Danielle Harold and Jamie Borthwick have reignited romance rumours, thanks to a recent "date night" they shared.
The duo, known for their roles as on-screen couple Lola Pearce and Jay Brown on the BBC show, showcased their close bond in an amusing Instagram Stories video. The clip featured Jamie comically singing Murder On the Dance Floor in a posh voice while making playful faces at the camera.
Danielle affectionately captioned the post: "Date night with @jamie_10 always a treat," as they attended an intimate live music performance. This isn't the first time Danielle and Jamie have stirred up speculation about their relationship.

Earlier this year, the dynamic duo were frequently seen together during Danielle's final months on EastEnders. In an interview with Fabulous magazine, Danielle playfully remarked: "I always say Jamie is the husband I never wanted or asked for, but nonetheless got. Seriously though, there’s no one like that at the moment. But I’ve been so busy, it’s probably for the best."
Danielle also said about the rumours: ‘I’m just going to leave that one out there, because it’s soo funny. It makes me laugh so much, I’d hate to squash it!’ On the small screen, the pair captivated audiences with their emotional storyline as Lola battled an inoperable brain tumor.
The soap's producers handled the sensitive plotline with care, capturing the characters' enduring love. Despite Lola's tragic fate, Jay proposed, and the two characters became husband and wife.

Sadly, Lola's condition deteriorated, leading to her passing in her sleep, marking the end of Danielle's time on the soap.It was dubbed the “saddest ever” exit by fans, and saw Danielle land a series of gongs including Best Leading Performer at the British Soap Awards and Best Actress and the Inside Soap Awards.
Shortly after leaving EastEnders, Danielle took part in filming for the celebrity version of Channel 4’s Hunted. She was paired up with Coronation Street ’s Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who played Nicky Wheatly in the show.
The actress also addressed the rumours that she’s set to star in this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity, confirming in an episode of Loose Women that she won’t be heading to the Australian jungle. She added that ‘there is always something, whatever the latest show is they always say your name.’
