First Dates starFred Sirieix has addressed hair transplant rumours as he gets set to adjust to life in theI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
Fred,who is also known for his travel series with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo, isamong the 10 celebrities who have headed Down Under to swap their home comforts for bushtucker trials, rice and beans and the occasional treat from Kiosk Kev.
But before heading into the I’m A Celeb jungle, fans of the show were given the chance to get to know the campmates a little better – with Fred taking the opportunity to speak about a rumour that he’d once read about himself.
During a video, which was posted on the official I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Instagram account, the contestants were asked a series of quickfire questions.
And as part of the game, they were asked: “What’s the funniest thing you’ve read about yourself that wasn’t true?.”
In response, Fred, 51, revealed that people had wrongly assumed that he wore a toupée or had undergone a hair transplant.
“I’ll tell you what it is. It’s that everybody thinks I’ve got a toupée or I went to Turkey to get new hair,” he said. “I just grew it!”
In the jungle, Fred will be joined by Jamie Lynn Spears, Nigel Farage, Nick Pickard,Josie Gibson, Nella Rose,Marvin Humes,Sam Thompson, Grace Dent and Danielle Harold.
During the same clip in which Fred addressed rumours of a hair transplant, formerEastEnders actress Danielle issued an apology to her loved ones at home.
When asked to explain what they’d miss most while in the jungle, many of this year’s campmates revealed that they’d miss their friends and family.
However, Danielle opted for something a little bit different when it came to her answer. “Food, sorry fam,” she simply said.
Ahead of the 2023 launch, former campmate Jake Quickenden, who found fame on ITV's X Factor was runner up way back in 2014,has given a glimpse of what life will have been like for this year’s celebsahead of their jungle stint.
“I was in a hotel room for two weeks and had a chaperone next door. I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone. It was very regimented, a bit like the SAS. I watched films, called room service and chilled out,” he told OK! .
