Netflix fans 'terrified to be alone' after 'deeply disturbing' horror Talk To Me hits streaming site | The Sun

NETFLIX fans have been left terrified after a 'deeply disturbing' horror movie arrived on the streaming platform.

Talk To Me is an Australian supernatural horror that has been acquired by the streaming service.


The movie had a limited release last year but appeared in cinemas more widely from July of this year before making its way onto Netflix.

With the film now available for all to stream on the site, viewers who have had what some may describe as the misfortune of tuning in have described how they were left rattled after seeing the movie with one branding the movie "unsettling" thanks to its twisted plotline.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – to share their thoughts, one said: "Talk to Me on Netflix is a great watch. Deeply disturbing and unsettling so if that’s your thing check it out.

"Best horror film I’ve seen for a long time."

While another penned: "Just watched that creepy Talk To Me film on Netflix. Currently trying to get my cat to walk with me to the kitchen so I don’t feel alone."

A third echoed: "Watched Talk to Me on Netflix yesterday and was up for the night having nightmares about being possessed really thought I was too old for scary movies to disturb me like that."

As a fourth appeared shaken as they wrote: "There’s a scene in #TalkToMe that almost made me walk out. I wanted to wash my eyes with bleach."

Upon its release, the streamer delivered a warning to those who dared to watch the film.

Sharing a Tweet to promote its release, the official Netflix account shared four images from the scary hit before adding a warning to say: "Good luck."

The movie had a limited release last year but appeared in cinemas more widely from July of this year before making its way onto Netflix.

Talk To Me was a box office success upon release after it managed to gross $90million on a $4.5million budget.

It stars Aussie actress Sophie Wilde in the leading role.

A sequel has already been confirmed to be in the works.

At the time of its cinematic release, one fan said: "Guys, I love horror movies. I went to see #TalkToMe last night, and it scared me so much.

"I’m embarrassed to admit that I actually had to walk out of the theatre to collect myself."

However, this did praise the film by adding: "Anyway, very good—and very, very anxiety producing and effective. Also, what a novel story!"
