Doctor Who fans now the opportunity to get their very own TARDIS by snapping up a former police box that has gone on the market in Edinburgh.
The 1930s police box, which sits just minutes away from the Scottish capital’s Royal Botanic Gardens, is up for auction with a guide price of £22,000.
The ‘unique’ property, which was most recently a florists, is listed as being in a ‘prime location’ with ‘high levels of local and tourist footfall’.
The property has an electricity supply, as well as a water connection that can be reinstated, and a telephone point where a landline can be installed.
A real estate listing says the ‘variety of business opportunities’ on offer means there will likely to be ‘strong levels of interest’ in the characterful property.

In the 1930s each British city chose its own architect and original design for the famous boxes.
The historic police box was designed by Edinburgh city council architect Ebenezer James MacRae, who played a major part in designing the city’s public buildings.
The boxes were used by police officers on the beat to contact their stations for updates and orders.
But as technological advances were made they began to fall out of use – demolished or turned into coffee shops and street food stands.

‘What’s more, the unit is in a fantastic location that benefits from high levels of local and tourist footfall, along with a number of bus stops close by.’
The former police box is due to go under the hammer at Auction House Scotland’s next in-room auction at 2.00pm on 13th September at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.
