Piers Morgan blasts BBCs Strictly Come Dancing unwatchable after apology

Annabel Croft says goodbye to Strictly

Piers Morgan compared Strictly Come Dancing to Gorgonzola cheese in a cheeky post just hours before Annabel Croft and her dance partner Johannes Radebe were voted out of the competition ahead of the BBC final.

The Uncensored presenter, 58, caused a stir on X, formerly Twitter, as his comments unsurprisingly sparked a reaction from loyal fans as the TalkTV host issued an apology.

In view of his 8.7 million followers, on Sunday (December 10) Piers tweeted: “Sorry, but Strictly Come Dancing is unwatchable. Every time I try, I give up after 3 minutes. Just weapons grade Gorgonzola cheese.”

Jeff Stelling replied: “How could you not love Annabel Croft Piers? Such a lovely classy person who has been through so much??”

Piers commented: “Oh, I love a lot of the people, just not the show…”

Viewers rushed to comment on the post, as one gushed: “It’s been brilliant!” while another remarked: “So switch.”

A third remarked: “I’m loving it this year, particularly Bobby. Try again!”

A fourth wrote: “Is this your subtle way of telling us you have signed up for 2024 already?!”

A stunned social media user questioned: “Wtf” while a sixth person added: “In your opinion. For some of us, it’s the best thing on telly for the whole week, whole year in fact. Never gets old, just as magical every year, in my opinion.”
